I am A believer of "Learn by Trying" Philosophy
Ability to pull apart what is broken and put it back together in more creative and innovative ways.
Ability to pull apart what is broken and put it back together in more creative and innovative ways.
In the year 2003, soon after I graduated, my only dream was to pursue a career that excites me, and a career which is more aligned towards my passion and natural talent. I was questioned by many known people around me,
"Why do you want to choose a career in graphics/UI Design/multimedia/arts? Thats not the current trend. Learn some programming."
But after 18years, I have no regrets and I have the same excitement as 18years before. I kept believing in my passion, my natural strengths and talent as a right brain creative thinker and had my hopes ALIVE to do, what I wanted to do after graduation. Additionally I specialised myself with a study on Human Computer Interaction Technology as well.
Converted challenges into learning & opportunities.
In the year 2006 some of my seniors at work doubted my design and animation skills. That fired me to learn, sharpen and master the skill. In the year 2007, I received very bad remarks and feedback on my project estimations. This made me learn project management and master the skills to prepare accurate project estimates, project plan, scheduling, resource planning, RCA, and release plan. In the year 2009 my senior colleagues and peers said "You are more of an UI guy, not very strong in UX". I proved them wrong by executing rich experience designs, and analysis, creating business impact with customer centric solutions since then. In 2013/14, one of the project wherein I was involved as Design Lead, went through a planning crisis, with quality issues, timeline misses, and fire fighting. This made me jump into Operational Excellence, wherein I defined Creative Design SLAs, Error Management, Timeline and Scheduling efficiency, escalation management and eventually streamlining the end to end delivery process. Very recently in 2020 my delivery lead said, "your best strengths are Project Management, People Management and Delivery Management and not best for UX". I agree with this partially. because today I am one among the best goto person for UX and Usability subject matter expertise within the Experience Studio Capacity in Accenture Interactive, Bangalore. This is my journey. Time and again, I challenge myself, learn from mistakes, acquire more skills and respond back to my critics by showcasing my best values with my best foot forward, to prove, that my profile has a strong blend of hands on design skills, UX evangelism, thought leadership and excellent project + people management skills.
Have worked and managed cross disciplinary teams involved in product design and development. Have presented and have successfully traded off my ideas well to CSuite Leadership like Managing Directors, CEOs, CMOs and CFOs.
I am right person for your organisation, If you are looking for a hybrid persona, experienced in hands-on design skills, UX Methodologies, logical expertise in front end UI Development skills, sandwiched with exceptionally proven and celebrated excellence in Project Management, Delivery Management, Program Management and Fatherly people Leadership to build an harmonious. and enjoyable, empathy driven work culture.
I am pretty good at storytelling specially articulating best stories for client presentations.
My current desire and aspiration is to become a TED Speaker. Thats because I have so much of life stories and I want to share them to inspire people. If you ask the people whom I have led, managed in projects, the first thing they would say about me is, "Sathish is inspirational and empathetic". I am a leader, not a manager. To be honest, I don't like to keep adding lines about myself, just to convince others. In simple words, my values are not just the skills mentioned above like UX, Design, Tech etc. But more than that there is something else that I would want people to know about me and my profile. Thats basically, I am very honest and transparent in what I speak, solution focussed, self confident (a little over confident too at times), influential to convince people with my plans, innovative, empathetic towards customer problems and towards the people whom I lead.
I like to take life as it comes, but always keep thinking "whats next?" because I do not get easily complacent and want to keep improvising a process or an innovation on a product.
I am seeking a role that involves scaling a team with direction, roadmap and a growth plan vision. This excites me. Because I have been doing this successfully in my career with great passion, starting from my own self business, then for HP Inc., and then currently for Accenture.
I love formulating a process, roadmap, standard operating procedures for UX, operational excellence and most importantly I Love to inspire people with my leadership skills.
